Welcome to Faith Friday.  Thanks for joining me today.

Today I’d like to talk about PRAISE.

Praise is powerful and important.

I know I don’t praise God as much as I should.  What about you?

Let’s face it, ever since the giant ball dropped and brought in 2020, life has not been easy.

We’ve experienced Covid, lockdowns, civil unrest, and war.

It’s easy to forget about praising GOD when we’re spending our time crying out to HIM for help.

It’s okay to ask God for help.  I couldn’t make it one day of my life without God’s help.

But we can’t forget PRAISE.

It’s just as important.

If you don’t believe me, check out what the Bible says.

“Praise the LORD! Praise the Lord, oh my soul! While I live I will praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.”  Psalm 146:1-2 (NKJV)

Do you see it? Praise the Lord while I live.  Not just when the sun is shining and life is going smoothly but all the time.

“Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great king over all the earth.”  Psalm 47:1-2 (NKJV)

God is the great king over the earth.  This should give us strength and hope even when the world seems to be falling apart.  God is still King!

“And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.”

Psalm 27:6 (NKJV)

God will deliver us and we should praise Him.

The last five Psalms in the Book of Psalms commands believers, Israelites, angels, Jerusalem itself, the heavens, and every being that has breath to praise Almighty God.

The last verse in the book of Psalms reads:

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the LORD.”  Psalm 150:6 (NKJV)

That includes YOU and ME.
